This is an Essex 1911 A1 with a Remington Rand Slide .45 ACP Post World War II pistol.  Features a 5” blue barrel with original plastic grips. Th barrel, trigger, thumb safety sand grip safety are all US Military. The mainspring housing is flat not like the rounded 1911A1 style. Both sites are fixed and not adjustable. There is no rust or pitting. Very few ding on this pistol. The Bluing is around 85%. This would be a nice sidearm to carry.
